Part of the Wealden Psychology Institute, Wealden College of Counselling and Psychotherapy (founded in 1986) is an Independent Vocational Training college, providing excellence in professional development and training for the Psychotherapy and Counselling professions.
This course is designed for qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, probation officers and others in the helping professions.
This one year course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to the role of supervisor in the caring professions.
The course is based upon an integrative approach and is not therefore linked to any one orientation of counselling or psychotherapy and is suitable for practitioners in all different fields of work who have differing theoretical perspectives.
A team of trained, qualified and experienced supervisors teaches the course.
The course is particularly appropriate for those wishing to prepare for accreditation as a supervisor by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
The course will run over eight, three day weekend modules from October to May.
